What Does CardioPulmonary Rehab Involve?

Patients are assessed and tested for placement in the rehabilitation program. After the initial assessment, a monitored exercise and education program will begin. The exercise goal for each patient includes 30-90 minutes of exercise and education with warm up and cool down stretches before and after each
session.

A home exercise program will also be given to each patient for use on the days they are not scheduled and after they complete the program. Cardiopulmonary rehab usually lasts 18 to 36 sessions. Individuals time frames may vary.

Cardiac rehab doesn't change your past, but it can help you improve your heart's future.
