Welcome Doctors Meehan and Gilles!

Dodge City, Kansas – Western Plains Medical Complex is proud to welcome opthalmologist James Meehan, MD (left) and orthopaedic surgeon Jeffrey Gilles, MD to Dodge City.
Dr. Meehan will join Western Plains Eye Associates, which is located across from the hospital on Ross Blvd. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, and completed an internship in Internal Medicine from Oklahoma University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Opthalmology at Washington University, Department of Opthalmology, Barnes Jewish Hospital, one of the top 10 ranked Opthalmology residencies in the country. He will begin seeing patients in the fall.
Dr. Gilles will join Western Plains Orthopaedic Associates, located across from the hospital on Ross Blvd. Dr. Gilles graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, with a Bachelor of Medicine degree and a Doctorate of Medicine degree. He completed his internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Mary’s as well.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Gilles specializes in sports medicine and knee ligament reconstruction, diagnostic and operative arthroscopy, cartilage cell transplantation and orthpaedic laser techniques. He will begin seeing patients this fall.
